Fishing Birthday Party

Our friends, Matt & Tracey moved into a new house this spring and just days after moving they held a birthday party for their oldest daughter, Chloee who was turning 8!  Their new house has a beautiful new pond filled with fish and Chloee loves to fish! It seemed only natural to have a fishing birthday party! Here are some of the highlights...

Lots of friends!

And here is the birthday girl - 8 years old!
Chloee is a very sweet big sister, an amazing reader, and my crafting buddy!
She is very special to us!

This is my Oliver who had a wonderful time at the party.  His favorite part was tossing stones into the pond! Easily entertained, I tell ya!

There was lots of casting going on and just as much catching!

My Claire and Chloee - girl talk and fishing!

Tons of squeals of excitement as the fish were caught and the dads were called over to take the fish off the hooks.

After fishing, we went back up to the house to have a sloppy joe dinner together.  The birthday cake was these adorable fishing pole cupcakes.  The gummy fish were attached using needle and thread. The poles were just kabob skewers.

The cupcakes were set out in the shape of a big 8.

8 candles to blow out!

The children received these little party favor bags filled with Goldfish crackers and gummi worms!  Perfect, huh??  The tag said "It's O-FISH-AL! Chloee is 8!

Here is the birthday girl ready to open presents!
 Isn't she a cutie?

Chloee opening the gift from us - I got her a craft idea book for kids and a gift card to Hobby Lobby!

Chloee with some of her best friends.  Aren't they beautiful?

 Happy 8th Birthday, Miss Chloee!
